This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talent in 3D Game Art. This competition provides a platform where participants will go through a creative and physical endurance test building an asset by modeling & texturing the asset, to claim the coveted Bengaluru GAFX Game Art Champion’s title.
All participants will assemble under a common roof on the given day and compete to create the most compelling 3D Game Art which includes modeling & texturing in a controlled setting. The theme will be revealed prior to the start of the challenge.
There will be separate categories for Students and Professionals.
Students: The theme will revolve around a prop, that Game studios usually look for in entry-level 3D Game artists.
Professionals: The theme will revolve around Hard Surfacing modeling, that studios usually look for in experienced 3D Game artists.
Theme: The theme will be revealed prior to the start of the competition.
The participant has to provide the final model and 5 screen shots / rendered images + 5 wire frame images of the model (front, left, right, back and perspective of the model) for judging.
Tools: Participants will be provided with systems preloaded with Autodesk Maya software for students and Autodesk Maya & Zbrush for professionals.
Mentoring: Participants will have access to mentoring from Industry leaders during the course of the competition.
