Fan Art Contest – GAFX 2026: Evolution Reloaded
Celebrate creativity across cultures with the Fan Art Contest, a special collaboration between ICA, CCA, and GAFX 2026. This unique challenge brings together the vibrant worlds of Indian and Columbian comics, inviting artists to create original crossover fan art and present their work on a national stage at GAFX, Bengaluru, from 27th February to 1st March 2026.
This contest is designed to spark imagination, encourage artistic exchange, and give creators an opportunity to showcase their interpretation of iconic characters through their own style and storytelling.
What Participants Need to Create
Participants must create an original fan art illustration that features:
- One Indian Comics character
- One Columbian Comics character
After registering, artists will receive access to an official character pool consisting of 20 Indian and 20 Columbian characters. Participants are free to interpret the characters in their own artistic style using either digital or traditional mediums. The focus should remain on originality, creativity, and visual impact.
How to Participate
- Register through the official GAFX portal.
- Download the character pool shared after registration.
- Create your artwork featuring one character from each region.
- Submit your final entry in high-resolution JPG/PNG format along with a short description (title and concept note).

- Results Announcement: 25th February 2026
- Winner Felicitation: During GAFX 2026 at Hotel Lalith Ashok, Bengaluru
Contest Rules & Guidelines
- Originality: All artworks must be original and created specifically for this contest.
- Format: Entries must be submitted in high-resolution JPG/PNG format.
- Medium: Both digital and traditional artwork are accepted. AI-generated art is strictly prohibited.
- Participation Limit: Only one entry per participant is allowed.
- Judging Criteria: Entries will be evaluated by the ICA and CCA jury based on originality, creativity, artistic quality, and overall impact. The jury’s decision will be final and binding.
- Awards & Recognition: Winners will be recognized and celebrated at GAFX 2026.
- Minors: If a minor wins, the award will be handed over to a parent or legal guardian.
- Usage Rights: Submitted artworks may be displayed at GAFX and featured on ICA/CCA platforms for promotional and exhibition purposes.
- Amendments: GAFX, ICA, and CCA reserve the right to modify contest details if necessary.
