As a founder of 88 Pictures, Milind D Shinde, a veteran in the animation industry, is responsible for the Business Development, orchestrating Growth strategies, maintaining and developing investors relation and taking 88 Pictures brand to be a truly global player in times to come.
Astute Management professional with 15+ years of experience across Production, Project Management, Operations and Strategy Planning New Studio Set Up, Business Turnaround, Relationship Management, business development, ROI accountability and Operations. Most of the experience is spread across setting up new business and start-up companies and taking it to fruition.
Milind’s recent experience comes from a stint of over 6 years from one of the top most animation studios in the world, DreamWorks Animation. In year 2009, joined India unit of DreamWorks Animation, USA at Bangalore. He was part of the core team instrumental in setting up and development of the production infrastructure and overall studio at the India DreamWorks. Milind was assigned the same task of replicating the success of India unit to a new DreamWorks entity called Oriental DreamWorks in Shanghai, China. Milind helped build up the Shanghai unit and deliver one of the highest grossing animated feature in China, Kung Fu Panda3.
In his robust body of experience, Milind has been a part of few Oscar-nominated feature films at DreamWorks and played an important role in the production of most of its successful movie franchises such as Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon among others.
Prior to starting 88 Pictures, Milind worked with a few other studios, such as Assemblage Entertainment, Crest Animation Studios and was a part of the team setting up a VFX studio for Sahara India.
Before joining the animation industry Milind has wealth of experience in several other industries such as Mechanical, electrical, Automobile, Logistic & Supply chain & KPO.
Milind has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management degree (MBA).
